Crypto Casino Methodology

This methodology applies specifically to the Crypto Casino Trust Score Index . Other CoinMarketExpert rankings use separate, category-specific methodologies.

CoinMarketExpert does not publish “best crypto casino” lists based on marketing budgets, sponsorships, or commercial agreements. All crypto casino rankings are generated using a repeatable, criteria-driven methodology designed to assess platforms from the perspective of risk, fairness, and real-world player outcomes.

No manual inputs. No editorial overrides.

Every Trust Score, label, live status, and risk indicator shown in the crypto casino table is generated automatically via scheduled processes. Nothing is hand-picked, manually adjusted, or commercially influenced.

What the Algorithm Evaluates

Trust & Risk Signals

Licensing transparency, corporate structure clarity, jurisdictional exposure, and historical player-reported complaints, disputes, or confiscation events.

Payments & Withdrawals

Supported cryptocurrencies, deposit and withdrawal reliability, consistency of processing speed, and observed withdrawal friction patterns.

Platform Integrity

Game provider quality, provably fair mechanisms (where applicable), technical stability, and enforcement of terms in real-world use.

User Experience

Interface usability, bonus clarity, wagering transparency, and customer support responsiveness as reported by players.

Data Sources

Crypto casino scores are derived from aggregated, real-world player activity, not curated reviews or promotional content. The analysis incorporates:

  • Public player discussions across social media, forums, and community platforms, with primary emphasis on Reddit, Telegram, and Bitcointalk
  • User-reported withdrawal, KYC, and dispute experiences aggregated over time
  • On-chain observations where relevant, including wallet activity used to assess liquidity and payout consistency
  • Proprietary monitoring systems that track withdrawal timelines, KYC trigger patterns, and dispute resolution outcomes

No single signal determines a ranking. Scores emerge from consistent patterns observed across many independent sources.

How the Trust Score Is Constructed

The Trust Score reflects two distinct realities: how a crypto casino has behaved over time, and how it is behaving right now.

  • Reputation signals reflect long-term community sentiment and historical behaviour, and change gradually.
  • Operational risk signals reflect recent player-reported issues such as withdrawal delays, disputes, or elevated KYC friction, and can change quickly.
Key principle

Reputation builds slowly. Risk escalates quickly. When operational issues emerge, risk-based adjustments are applied immediately.

Rather than averaging all inputs together, the model applies risk-based adjustments when operational issues are detected. This mirrors real-world trust dynamics: trust is earned over time, but can deteriorate rapidly when problems arise.

As conditions improve and negative signals resolve, penalties are reduced or removed automatically over time, allowing casinos to recover standing through consistent performance.

How to Read the Trust Score

  • 70+: Strong long-term track record with minimal current issues
  • 60–69: Generally reliable, but moderate friction points may exist
  • 50–59: Elevated caution warranted; recent operational concerns detected
  • Below 50: Significant risk; avoid until conditions materially improve

A high score combined with a negative live status (for example, “Elevated Risk”) indicates strong historical reputation but poor current conditions. In such cases, caution should take priority over ranking position.

What the Trust Score Does Not Measure

  • Bonus generosity or promotional offers
  • Game selection volume or software variety
  • Brand popularity, influencer exposure, or marketing spend
  • Subjective opinions or personal preferences

Commercial Neutrality

Affiliate relationships do not:
  • Influence Trust Scores
  • Change ranking order
  • Override negative findings

Affiliate commission rates are not visible to the scoring algorithm and cannot influence outcomes. A crypto casino with strong commercial terms but weak operational integrity will rank poorly.

Limitations

No methodology can eliminate risk entirely. The Crypto Casino Trust Score is a risk-reduction framework, not a guarantee.

Users should verify current platform status independently before depositing, as conditions can change between score updates.
